MacICT are excited to host a series of iPad workshops designed to provide hands-on training to teachers on the use and management of iPads in the classroom.

These workshops, run by Dr Nerida McCredie and Scott Barnham from Think3 , aim to address the need for teachers to have a practical understanding of how to use iPads and the best way to organise, manage and deploy them to students.

Managing iPads with Apple Configurator

So, you have purchased some iPads for school and found some great apps to use in the classroom – but now managing, purchasing and installing apps is becoming cumbersome. Apple Configurator is ideal for preparing multiple iPads, installing apps and defining settings.

iPads A-Z

As more schools decide to introduce iPads into their classrooms, teachers are not only asking, ‘Where do I start?’ but ‘How can I get the best out of what an iPad has to offer?’. iPads A-Z is a one day workshop that equips teachers to become confident and creative in their use of iPads.

iPads in Action: Mathematics

A great number of mathematical apps have been created for Primary School students. iPads in Action: Mathematics will outline and review the various styles of apps that have been designed and discuss how best to use them in classroom settings.

iPads in Action: Digital Storytelling

Students are captivated by multimedia experiences and enjoy reading eBooks. This workshop will demonstrate and review a variety of iPad apps that enable students to cleverly capture, create and share their own digital stories.

With 35 years of experience between them in teaching, training and consulting in educational technology, Nerida and Scott bring a wealth of experience to help you use iPads in the classroom. Scott has worked as a teacher and an Apple Systems Engineer. He now assists schools with strategy, professional learning and technical implementation.
