Google Grant Received for MakerDay Teacher Workshops

We are very proud to announce that MacICT has been successful in our application for a 2014 ‘Computer Science for High School’ grant from Google! This annual program promotes computer science education by helping to equip educators with the skills and resources they need to teach computer science and computational thinking concepts in fun and relevant ways. Mobile technologies, mobile mentors, mobile learners. On Friday 9th December 2011 students from Cherrybrook Technology High and their teacher, Ms Howard, presented their mobile learning project to an International audience. http://lams2011.lamsfoundation.org/ The students used LAMS software to design technology dynamic, science and environmental lessons for their peers and for mentoring primary aged students.
